Guests will love the abundance of décor, miles of sparkling tinsel garland and Christmas lights, and the experience of hugging a giant inflatable teddy bear (he hugs back!). Past patrons know that Mingle & Jingle is THE best local Christmas Bar not only because it is locally run and because Cory and Suzanne sourced many of its decorations from Atlanta stores, such as Last Chance Thrift Store in Decatur, A Better Way Bargains in Peachtree City, and the United Way. If I give it another go, it’ll be when the weather improves and I can sit outside.MINGLE & JINGLE CHRISTMAS BAR AT BEST END BREWINGīest End Brewing is welcoming back the very first and only pop-up Christmas Bar in the West End of Atlanta, GA. But the Feng Shui of Allora just didn’t suite me. And the food might be more likely to lure me back. So like I said, if the kitchen can fix the food prep and and consistency, they would be in a much better place. Anyway, I came to relax and chill, and just couldn’t find that groove. I put a napkin over it to tone things down. And then they lights are keep low but there are these accent light on the table that are entirely too bright. But the tables that aren’t in the bar kind feel like they’re off in Siberia. Half the tables are essentially in the bar, which wants the environment I want. But the bar takes up a ton of space in the middle with the table fanning out from it. And then the ambiance kinda bummed me out. So the food, while fine, was a mild disappointment. Incidentally, the broccolini and the risotto were great together and could have been an entree. And the risotto, which was prepared perfectly, didn’t have much in the way of mushrooms or tHe truffle flavor that was promised. It wasn’t undercooked, but it was just too flaccid.the Broccolini was my favorite dish for flavor, but then way too much oil. And the dough definitely need more time in the oven. It was just ground meat, which would have been fine with me, except this pie had very little flavor. But the meatball pizza didn’t have meatballs. I’d have preferred better croutons but that’s my preference. Fresh with a good mix of dressing and nice flavor. The salad was easily the best in terms of prep. During my first visit, we had the Caesar Salad, Allora's Meatball Pizza, Charred Broccolini, and Truffle Mushroom Risotto plus a couple cocktails. ![]() I would say that where things fall down with the food is in the.
